Qatar Participates In Gulf Shield Exercise In Saudi Arabia
Doha, Qatar: The Gulf Shield Exercise (2026) activities were launched yesterday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of Qatar Armed Forces and all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The exercise aims to enhance combat readiness, strengthen joint operations, and achieve integration in the joint operations environment, in accordance with best practices.
The Gulf Shield Exercise includes a comprehensive set of procedures, tests, and scenarios designed to measure combat readiness and the effectiveness of responses to all threats, ensuring and achieving integration and compatibility within the flexible deterrence system.
The Gulf Shield Exercise represents one aspect of joint defence cooperation among the GCC countries and reflects their combat readiness against current, emerging, and future threats.
The Gulf Shield Exercise is also a fundamental pillar in consolidating the concept of joint military action aimed at ensuring the security, safety, and stability of the GCC countries.
