US approves potential sale of P-8A aircraft to Denmark
(MENAFN) The US State Department has authorized a potential sale of P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft, along with associated equipment, to Denmark, the Pentagon announced Monday.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency estimated the deal at $1.8 billion. "The proposed sale will enhance Denmark’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing a credible force that is capable of deterring adversaries and participating in NATO operations," the agency said.
The Boeing Company, based in Virginia, will serve as the principal contractor for the program.
