Ex-Chief Of Kharkiv SSU Office Detained Until February 22

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, December 26, 2025, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv satisfied the prosecution's request and imposed pre-trial detention on the former chief of the SSU Office in the Kharkiv region for 60 days, until February 22, 2026," the OPG stated.

Earlier, investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) detained and charged Dudin while he was attempting to be released on bail.

The former official, previously accused of treason, had paid over UAH 4.2 million in bail. However, law enforcement authorities filed a new charge against him for organizing the illegal seizure of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration building and attempting to remove its leadership during the first hours of Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.

President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Dudin on May 29, 2022, stating that he“did not work to defend the city from the first days of the full-scale war.” Dudin had led the SSU Office in the Kharkiv region from March 25, 2020.

In July 2023, prosecutors sent an indictment to court against the former Kharkiv SSU chief on charges of treason.
