Six people get injured in explosion at Lyon chemical facility
(MENAFN) Six employees were hurt late Monday following an explosion at a chemical facility in Saint-Fons, near Lyon in eastern France. Three of the injured workers sustained severe burns and are in serious condition.
The blast occurred at the Elkem Silicones plant, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into “unintentional injuries caused by a legal entity resulting in incapacity exceeding three months.”
Specialized units from the organized crime division and the regional labor and employment directorate have been assigned to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the explosion.
