RMA: Almost 142,000 Displaced Persons In Vinnytsia Region, Authorities Address Housing Needs
“We are one of the regions that has accepted the largest number of IDPs: at the moment, there are almost 142,000 of them in the region. In total, we have 60 temporary accommodation facilities, where more than two thousand people are staying,” Zabolotna said.
According to her, the vast majority of IDPs live in rented accommodation, which they pay for, in particular, with payments from state support programs.
In addition, housing construction projects for displaced person have been implemented in the region.
"Recently, the Housing for IDPs charitable foundation, together with the Stryzhav community, reconstructed and converted a non-residential building into a residential facility with 14 apartments. And there are many other things that are not widely known. For example, I recently visited the Kalynivka community. There, in one of the villages, a company used its own funds to convert one of the community's premises and create apartments for its employees who are internally displaced persons," the official said.
She also noted that people from areas of active hostilities continue to arrive in Vinnytsia region - 100-200 people every week.

As reported by Ukrinform, on December 1, applications began to be accepted for housing vouchers for internally displaced person whose homes remained in temporarily occupied territories. As of December 5, 16,500 applications had been submitted to participate in the housing voucher program for displaced persons from the occupied territories
