Kyrgyzstan Opens Trade House In Kabul To Expand Central Asian Commerce
The Taliban-led Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced the opening of the Kyrgyzstan Trade House in Kabul, describing it as a step toward expanding regional economic cooperation.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, 17 December, the trade house was inaugurated in the presence of senior commerce officials.
Taliban authorities said the initiative is intended to strengthen bilateral trade ties and facilitate direct communication between traders and business communities from both countries.
The ministry added that increasing trade volumes and easing commercial exchanges are among the key objectives of establishing the trade house in Kabul.
The development comes as Kabul claim they are broadening trade relations with Central Asian countries, despite ongoing international sanctions and limited diplomatic recognition.
Analysts, however, caution that sustained economic cooperation will depend on resolving banking restrictions, security concerns, and broader uncertainties surrounding Afghanistan's economic future under current administration.
