Joramco Wins First Place at "Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service" for its Initiative, "Tree for Every Aircraft"

(MENAFN- Asdaa-amman) Joramco, the Amman-based aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider and the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has won first place at Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service for its environmental initiative, “Tree for Every Aircraft.”

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II presented the award during the third edition ceremony held at the Palace of Culture in Al Hussein Youth City on the 9th Dec.

Organized by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation and UNICEF, Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service is Jordan’s premier national platform to celebrate outstanding volunteer initiatives. This year, over 13,900 applicants competed across four categories, with 15 initiatives receiving the award.

Joramco’s “Tree for Every Aircraft” initiative in collaboration with RSCN earned recognition for its 360-degree environmental impact. Created to address the environmental footprint of aviation-related operations, the initiative goes far beyond tree planting. Its pillars include:
Expanding green spaces and supporting ecological restoration, Manufacturing and installing seating made from recycled plastic waste, installing a water harvesting system that supports tree irrigation and supply water to surrounding offices, and installing solar power systems that provide clean electricity to the surrounding office area.

Since its launch in 2023, the initiative has planted more than 1,800 trees in wildfire-affected areas within Dibeen Forest Reserve.

This recognition reaffairms Joramco’s dedication to environmental stewardship and its long-term commitment to contributing positively to Jordan’s natural ecosystems. In 2025, the company expanded its contribution by sponsoring a dedicated plot within the Dibeen Forest Reserve, officially launched as the “Joramco Area.”
