Russia hasn’t received response from US on US-Ukraine talks—Kremlin

(MENAFN) Russia has not received any feedback from the United States regarding recent discussions between American and Ukrainian officials, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday, noting that dialogue between Moscow and Washington continues following the US-hosted talks in Florida.

Peskov told reporters that although communication is ongoing, “the results haven’t reached us yet,” stressing that the Florida talks “essentially concluded just yesterday,” according to reports.

When asked about both sides’ stated reluctance to engage in “megaphone diplomacy,” Peskov declined to provide further details, reiterating only that Moscow had not received any specific statements from Kyiv following the discussions.

The remarks followed three days of meetings in Florida involving US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law and informal adviser Jared Kushner, who later spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Reports indicate that Washington is considering a new strategy to address territorial disputes in its negotiations with Ukraine.

Earlier statements from Russian officials have suggested that Moscow is waiting to see whether this latest round of US-Ukraine consultations will produce substantive proposals regarding security or territorial arrangements.
