Russians Shell Border Regions But Cannot Advance Demchenko
"The situation along the border with Russia has not changed significantly. The enemy, speaking about the borders of Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, continues to carry out daily shelling," he said.
According to Demchenko, in the Kharkiv region, particularly in the direction of Vovchansk, Russian forces are active with infantry groups.
"The enemy applies the same tactics in the Sumy region – on a small section within the Khotin and Yunakivka communities," he added.
At the same time, he emphasized that Ukrainian forces are confidently holding the defense.

He also noted that Russian strikes are not aimed solely at defensive positions. "During the shelling, the enemy also hits populated areas, effectively confirming its status as a terrorist state, because such actions destroy infrastructure and result in killed and injured civilians living near the border," he emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, on December 6, at around 12:20, Russian forces attacked a civilian car in the Krasnopillia community in Sumy region with a drone, injuring two men.
