Indian Ambassador Visits Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdulwahhab Mosque
Doha, Qatar: Ambassador of India to Qatar H E Vipul visited the Imam Muhammad ibn Abdulwahhab Mosque, where he was received by representatives of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center. They introduced him to the features of the local architectural style, which is distinctively reflected in the design and overall character of the mosque.
The Ambassador toured the mosque and learned about its traditional Qatari architectural elements, showcased through its colours, traditional ornamentation, the general design of its domes and minaret, and its various sections, including the external and internal courtyards and the prayer hall.
He was also introduced to the meanings associated with the chosen colour schemes, the local decorative patterns, and their connection to Islamic architecture and culture.
