Director Vysakh On Mammootty: Some Actors Don't Just Act, They Evolve!
Taking to his Instagram page to pen a lengthy post, director Vysakh, who himself is currently directing Prithviraj Sukumaran's eagerly awaited film 'Khalifa', wrote, "Some actors don't just act... they evolve. They push boundaries. They make us believe again. And seeing Mammukka step into every new character with fresh fire - that's a privilege we deeply cherish as an audience. Eagerly waiting to witness how you conquer this character!"
The director, who wished Mammootty all the very best for 'Kalamkaval', said, "May this film become another shining chapter in his legendary journey."
Vysakh also wrote to actor Vinayakan, director Jithin K Jose and other members of the cast and crew.
He said, "Vinayakan - can't wait to experience the intensity you'll bring to the screen. Truly excited this time! Warmest wishes to director Jithin K Jose and writer Jishnu Sreekumar - your passion deserves to echo through every single seat in the theatre. He ended the post saying, "First day, first show - booked. Because when certain films arrive... we show up with full hearts."
For the unaware, 'Kalamkaval', featuring Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead, hits screens worldwide on December 5.
The Censor Board has already cleared the film for release with a U/A certificate. In fact, Mammootty, had himself confirmed the news, stating "#Kalamkaval Censored with U/A 16+ Certificate. In Cinemas Soon."
The film has triggered huge interest in fans and film buffs ever since the makers released a teaser.
'Kalamkaval', the shooting of which was wrapped up in November last year, has story and screenplay by Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar. It has editing by Praveen Prabhakar and cinematography by Faisal Ali. Music for this exciting entertainer will be by young composer Mujeeb Majeed. Stunts for the film have been choreographed by Action Santhosh.
The film has been in the news for the curiosity that it has triggered with its makers claiming that the film will showcase Mammootty in a role in which he has never been seen before.
Already, rumours doing the rounds in the industry suggest that Mammootty plays a character with shades of grey in it.
