Craig Morris
- Senior Researcher, Agricultural Research Council - Animal Production, University of KwaZulu-Natal
My research is primarily in range and forage science, with a particular emphasis on vegetation dynamics, grazing management, plant species responses to disturbance and environmental factors such as fire, defoliation, and soil nutrients, and the ecological implications of livestock grazing on grasslands and rangelands in South Africa. I also collaborate on research into a range of issues such as soil biodiversity, wetland ecology, water quality, invasive species, and the impacts of climate change on grassland ecosystems, partnering with local and international researchers, students, and conservation organisations. My work integrates long-term experiments, field studies, and applied management to support sustainable use and conservation of grassland and rangeland ecosystems.
