One concern that Mr. LaVé has about the workforce is that not enough young people are interested in blue-collar employment. "The shortage of blue-collar workers is going to continue and I'm not sure when it will be over. There's a certain work ethic that comes from growing up in a trade family, in a blue-collar family and from learning the blue-collar skills early. One of the things that we're seeing is that there are a lot of kids who are growing up who don't want to get out there and work with their hands," says Mr. LaVé.

Success Through Humility

Mr. LaVé attributes his successful career to his humility. He believes that practicing humility helps him identify his weaknesses, enabling him to turn to others for help. He also seeks ways to contribute where he can. He is committed to helping others and mentoring future blue-collar leaders.
