Media-Leaked 'Peace Plan' For Ukraine May Be Part Of PSYOP Austrian Professor
"The first assessment I have to make is that we know nothing for certain. Everything has been reported by the media. We do not have authentic information, and that is a very big problem. One possibility is that it is serious. Another is that it is an element of psychological warfare: spreading messages meant to cause panic and uncertainty," Stadler said, commenting on the media release of the U.S. "peace plan."
He noted that Kyrylo Budanov, chief of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, had repeatedly warned about psychological operations designed to spread panic and create a sense of hopelessness, with the aim of "separating Europeans from Ukraine and creating a feeling of hopelessness and defeat."
"It is interesting that President Zelensky is serious but not panicked. For me, this is telling. Previously, he was much more anxious," the Austrian professor said.

"There are things Ukraine simply cannot agree to. For example, that Europe should pay 100 billion euros. That's unrealistic. This is not a plan. It is a set of ideas that were just dumped into the public space," Stadler said.
He believes that in the current situation, it is important to remain calm and cautious, continue consultations, "and not help fuel this wave of panic and absurdity." Stadler added that Ukraine's leadership under President Zelensky is acting accordingly.
Asked about the role of the European Union, Stadler stressed the need to remain calm and continue steadfastly supporting Ukraine.
"Europe must bring calm to the entire situation and firmly remain on Ukraine's side. That's it. And try even harder. It's very simple: hold the line. Don't let yourself be disoriented. Holding the line means upholding Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, Ukraine's independence, and achieving a just peace. [...] The only important thing is that everyone stays calm, speaks clearly and seriously, and does not panic. That is precisely what those who 'leaked' this wanted," the Austrian professor said.
Earlier, U.S. media reported that the Trump administration had held secret consultations with the Kremlin to develop a new plan to stop the war in Ukraine. Axios reported that the plan consists of 28 points and is divided into four broad categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security in Europe, and the future of U.S. relations with Russia and Ukraine.
According to media reports, Kyiv is expected to give up Ukrainian-controlled areas of Donbas, reduce its army, and relinquish a significant portion of its weaponry. The plan envisages that the transfer of the remaining territories of Donbas would take place in exchange for U.S. security guarantees for Kyiv and Europe, though the mechanism for these guarantees is not clearly defined.
