Moi Approves Executive Regulations Of Foreigners' Residency Law


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah issued a ministerial decree approving the executive regulations of foreigners' residency law 2249 for 2025.
The falls in the framework of the Ministry of Interior's effort to upgrade the legal system of governing the residency of foreigners in Kuwait and meet the needs of the coming period, the Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The executive regulations, which were published in the official gazette, will come into force one month later. It addresses all aspects relating to entry permits, family and commercial visits, and entry permits for workers in the private sector and housemaids, according to the statement.
The law cautioned that violators of residency law would be liable to severe fines, it said, urging the citizens and residents in Kuwait to follow the updates from the Ministry of Interior in the coming weeks. (end) ajr
