“Golden Opportunity”: Pact Signed With Uzbek Exporters
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment has signed a cooperation agreement with Uzbekistan Exporters' Union to expand and facilitate the export of agricultural products from Afghanistan to Uzbekistan.
The Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment in a statement yesterday called the cooperation agreement as 'a valuable opportunity' for Afghan traders.
“The agreement creates a new route and practical opportunities as a valuable achievement to facilitate the export and import of Afghan agricultural products through Uzbekistan to Central Asia, Russia, European countries and international markets,” the statement read.
The statement said that the main purpose of the agreement was to expand exports through Uzbekistan, improve the quality of exports, comply with international standards, and expand economic opportunities for Afghan and Uzbek traders.
The Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment invited all interested traders to contact the chamber to take advantage of the opportunities created and participate in joint projects.
“This is a golden opportunity for market expansion, increased exports, and economic growth of the country's traders”.
According to the source, the leadership of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, along with a number of members of the board of directors of the dried and fresh fruit department, signed this trade agreement with the head of the Uzbekistan Exporters' Union, Yarkinjan Malikov.
