Search And Rescue Operations Continue For Second Day In Ternopil At Site Of Russian Strike


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page.

“Rescuers are working around the clock, clearing debris, removing rubble, and searching for people who may have been in the area of destruction,” the SES said.

During this time, 880 square meters of destroyed structures have been cleared, and 370 tons of construction debris have been removed.

Sixty-eight rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment are currently working at the site.

A total of 194 rescuers and 53 pieces of equipment are involved in the cleanup.

Currently, 26 people are known to have died, including three children, and 93 have been injured, including 18 children.

Forty-six people have been rescued, including seven children.

About 20 people are still missing.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of November 19, the Russians attacked Ternopil with combat drones and missiles. Two residential high-rise buildings were hit in the city. According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, the whereabouts of 18 people remain unknown.
