I'm a doctoral candidate in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary researching queer and trans experiences in public education systems. I have worked in public education for more than a decade as a teacher and education consultant. Through methodologies that include Critical Discourse Analysis and Institutional Ethnography, I examine how trans bodies are discursively constructed and located in anti-trans policyscapes.
