Rebrov On Ukraine's Crucial Win Over Iceland:“Today We Were A Team”

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As reported by Ukrinform, citing the press service of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF), the Ukrainian coach said that from the first minute all players gave their maximum on the pitch.

“From the very first minute all the players gave their maximum. I believe we had chances, and we were a team focused on getting a result. The players who came off the bench were able to refresh the game. At the end, we created very good chances and converted them. We pressed high, we showed that we wanted to win. But they [the Icelanders] defended very tightly, and it was difficult to find space. Most of the chances came from long-range shots. After the substitutions we were able to intensify our pressing and put more pressure on their penalty area - and that paid off. This is everyone's achievement,” Rebrov summed up.
