Danilo Urzedo

Danilo Urzedo is a Human Geographer and Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. His research examines the political geographies of environmental knowledge, technologies, and markets. Danilo completed a PhD in Human Geography at the University of Sydney and has since held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Cambridge and CSIRO. Prior to academia, he worked as a community forester in the Brazilian Amazon, bridging environmental policy and financing into place-based project implementation through partnerships with Indigenous and local communities.
Danilo is currently working with the ARC Training Centre for Healing Country in Western Australia, contributing to collaborative research on Indigenous restoration economies. His work focuses on amplifying place-based co-benefits through participatory methods that account for multiple values.
