Sustainability Forum Middle East Announces H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as a Keynote Speaker at its 2026 Fourth Edition


(MENAFN- FinMark Communications) Manama – 15 November 2025 – Sustainability Forum Middle East (SFME) today announces that H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), will address the Forum’s Fourth Edition at its opening, taking place on January 27 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
The two day event, held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, and with the support of the Supreme Council for Environment, will feature a distinguished line of speakers and convene more than 400 senior policymakers, business leaders, sustainability experts, and innovators from across the MENA region and beyond to drive actionable climate solutions under the theme: “Advancing Alignment, Innovation, and Implementation for Energy and Climate Transformation.”
The participation of H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), in the 2026 Forum underscoring the growing importance of regional collaboration and unified action in achieving net-zero targets and accelerating sustainable development across the Arab states of the Gulf. It also underscores the significance of joint Gulf efforts and regional collaboration in addressing climate challenges and sustainable development objectives in the region, in alignment with the GCC’s vision for a more sustainable and prosperous future.
Sustainability Forum Middle East continues to serve as a leading regional platform for knowledge exchange and partnership building on sustainability and climate action. This year’s edition features a series of high-level keynote addresses and interactive panel sessions on topics critical to the transition towards a more sustainable, lower carbon future. The second day of the Forum if dedicated to capacity building and human capital development with three expert-led workshops hosted by KPMG Bahrain, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Anthesis Group, providing the opportunity for hands on learning in support of critical pathways toward decarbonization, responsible sourcing, and carbon market development.
