Dry Spell To Grip Most Parts Of Pakistan As Cold Intensifies In Northern Regions

Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast predominantly dry weather across most parts of the country over the coming days, while upper regions are expected to experience a further drop in temperatures.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is likely to remain dry and cold across various districts. Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad and Chitral have already recorded a noticeable dip in temperatures, while the mountainous areas of Swat and Dir are witnessing increased chill and patches of fog during morning and evening hours.

Islamabad is also expected to remain dry and moderately cold, whereas the upper surrounding regions, including Murree and Galiyat, are likely to face increased cold intensity. Temperatures are expected to remain below normal, accompanied by cold winds.

According to the Meteorological Department, smog is likely to persist in Punjab's plain areas, with light fog possible at night in some locations. Citizens, especially motorcyclists and commuters, have been advised to exercise caution due to low visibility.

The Met Office added that most districts of Sindh and Balochistan will also experience dry and cold conditions, with nighttime temperatures expected to drop further in several areas.
