Doha: QIIB organised a blood donation campaign at its headquarters in collaboration with the Qatar National Blood Donation Centre (QNBDC), as part of the bank's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to supporting national efforts aimed at strengthening Qatar's healthcare sector and meeting the Blood Bank's needs for donors.

The campaign witnessed wide participation from QIIB employees across various departments and divisions, led by Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al-Shaibei, along with members of the senior management.

Their participation reflected the spirit of initiative and social responsibility that characterises QIIB's corporate culture-one that encourages noble humanitarian values, generosity, and community solidarity.

This initiative is part of a series of activities carried out by QIIB within its ongoing social responsibility programs and plans, which focus on various key areas - including support for the healthcare sector and raising awareness about the importance of blood donation as a humanitarian act that helps save lives and meets patients' needs for blood and its components.

On the occasion of the campaign, Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al-Shaibei, Chief Executive Officer of QIIB, stated:“At QIIB, we consider humanitarian work a cornerstone of our corporate culture. The blood donation campaign we organised today is a tangible expression of this firm commitment to our community. Social responsibility, for us, is not a seasonal initiative but rather an integral part of our vision-one that is founded on serving people and supporting sustainable development in Qatar.”

He added:“Our Bank places great importance on health-related projects and initiatives that contribute to enhancing quality of life. He noted:“Donating blood is a noble humanitarian act that can save the life of someone in urgent need. We believe that promoting a culture of donation and volunteerism strengthens the spirit of belonging and shared responsibility among members of the community and reinforces human solidarity - one of the most important pillars of a strong and cohesive society.”

Dr. Al-Shaibei concluded,“As we organise this blood donation campaign, we reaffirm the Bank's continued support for health, social, educational, environmental, and sports initiatives, as well as other activities that create a lasting positive impact. These efforts are in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasises the importance of human and social development in building a prosperous future for all.”
