AJet Introduces Ankara-Baghdad Routes as Part of Expansion

(MENAFN) Turkey's budget airline, AJet, has inaugurated flights connecting the capitals of Turkey and Iraq, the carrier revealed on Tuesday.

The airline will provide Ankara-Baghdad services three times a week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

After a ceremonial event on Monday in Ankara, an aircraft took off for Baghdad and received a traditional water salute upon arrival at Baghdad International Airport, completing the journey in two hours and 35 minutes.

In an effort to broaden its destination offerings from Ankara, AJet is extending its route network from Europe to the Caucasus region and from the Middle East to North Africa.

Currently, the airline serves 35 destinations across 26 countries from the Turkish capital.

The company aims to incorporate flights to nine additional countries and 10 more cities into its schedule by the close of 2026.
