Death Toll from India Road Crash Climbs to Thirteen

(MENAFN) Fatalities from a devastating traffic collision in Rajasthan, western India, have reached 13, according to the state's Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Monday.

Officials warn the casualty count could climb higher as multiple victims remain in life-threatening condition.

An intoxicated truck operator plowed through numerous vehicles in Jaipur, the state capital, causing mass casualties.

Authorities apprehended the truck operator, who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

"Out of the 10 injured, six are critical and the others have minor injuries," the health minister told media persons.
