Terrorists Attack North Waziristan DPO's Convoy In Bannu Five Policemen Injured
Terrorists launched an armed attack on the squad of the District Police Officer (DPO) of North Waziristan, Waqar Ahmed, in Bannu district on Sunday.
According to police, the attack occurred within the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station on Miranshah Road near Mamash Khel, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on the DPO's convoy.
Police sources said that the attackers targeted the vehicle escorting DPO Waqar Ahmed, but he remained unhurt in the assault. However, five police personnel sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. The injured officers were identified as Rasool Muhammad, Mughfarullah, Sher Ahmad, Hashim Khan, and Syed Muhammad.

Following the incident, the assailants managed to flee toward nearby areas. Police launched a search operation in Mamash Khel and surrounding localities to track down the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Region, Sajjad Khan, visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured officers and directed medical staff to ensure the best possible care.
