Doha, Qatar: Minister of Endowments of Syria H E Dr. Mohammad Abu Al-Khair Shukri accompanied by a delegation from the Higher Fatwa Council, visited yesterday the General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, where he was received by Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Marzouqi.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed their cooperation in the field of endowments, ways to enhance investments, and the latest electronic systems used in waqf administration.

The Director General delivered a presentation on the establishment and development of endowments in Qatar, and provided an overview of Qatar's Waqf Law.

He also highlighted the“Taqneenah” Waqf initiative launched by the General Directorate of Endowments to keep pace with major digital and technological advances and artificial intelligence in the development of institutional and community services.

After the meeting, the Syrian Minister of Awqaf toured the General Directorate and was briefed on major waqf project models, including the Jabal Thaaylib Endowment Project, one of the largest waqf projects in the country.
