ABU DHABI, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) was elected Tuesday as Chair of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) for the 2025-2027 term.
KDIPA announced that the WAIPA organization election was held during the 29th World Investment Conference (WIC), taking place in Sharjah, UAE from October 21-23, titled "Transforming Our World.. Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future".
KDIPA as Chair of WAIPA, will continue its commitment to a collaborative approach within WAIPA's governance framework and ongoing initiatives, to further enhance cooperation and communication among investment promotion agencies worldwide in pursuit of common goals, said the Authority's Assistant Director General for Business Development Mohammad Mulla Yaqoub.
A KDIPA press release said Mulla Yaqoub will represent KDIPA in this role, who previously held the position of Vice Presidency of WAIPA's Steering Committee for the period (2023-2025).
The WIC features distinguished participation of senior government officials, business leaders, and high-level representatives from international organizations. The event serves as a platform to discuss global challenges, explore future action pathways, and highlight promising investment opportunities across key sectors - notably food industries, life sciences, energy, and information and communication technology systems.
