QSE Index Starts Week Higher


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index started the week higher on Sunday, gaining 35.61 points, or 0.33%, to reach 10,886 points at the opening of trading.

The increase was driven by gains across five sectors. Transportation led the advance with a rise of 0.97%, followed by Industrials (+0.69%), Real Estate (+0.56%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.35%), and Banks and Financial Services (+0.13%). In contrast, Insurance edged down 0.01%, while Telecoms slipped 0.43%.

By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 63.086 million from 30.289 million shares traded across 2,948 transactions.
