Águila Decorações Crafts Arabian-Themed Events
Águila Decorações provides services throughout Brazil, producing parties with a wide variety of themes. With her team, Steffens-a Chilean who lives in Brazil-can create anything from birthday parties for 30 guests to corporate events for 100 or weddings for 500.

The décor evokes Arab-inspired settings
“The party we create depends on what the client wants and how many guests they'll have. But before finalizing anything, I visit the venue, take measurements, and assess how the décor can be installed-both in terms of height and support,” she says.
With tents, fabrics, lanterns with candles, candelabras, low tables, feather arrangements, and even camels, the space is transformed into an Arabian-style celebration. In addition to the full décor, the company offers cultural attractions such as musicians, belly dancers, dabke dancers, coffee fortune readings, and henna tattoos. Catering is also available, including buffet and cocktail services.
“At the event entrance, we usually offer pastries and snacks, like kibbeh and sfiha. For dinner, the client chooses from a varied Arabic menu, which can include rice, lamb, rice with lentils, and labneh. And at the end of the party, we serve delicious Arabic sweets,” explains the owner of Águila Decorações.
Steffens' cultural journeyBorn in Viña del Mar, Chile, Solange arrived in Brazil in 1982 at the age of 14, along with her parents and siblings. The move was driven by her family's search for better job opportunities.

Camel featured as an attraction at themed parties
“While living in Chile, I was a gymnast. I practiced Olympic gymnastics and even competed in championships, so I developed a lot of body control. When I arrived in Brazil, I became interested in ballroom dancing, and later moved on to belly dancing, eventually becoming a teacher of this dance style,” Stephens recalls.
“Thanks to getting involved in ballroom dancing, my adaptation to Brazil went really well. When I started practicing Arabic dance, I became interested in Arab culture. I began researching the subject and started decorating my dance studio with fabrics, even setting up a tent with a carpet and cushions.”
And it was the unique decoration of her studio, different from the other teachers' rooms, that opened the door for Stephens to organize her first Arab-themed party.“Someone came into my studio, saw the decoration, and asked if I could do that for a party. I said yes. After that, I started creating party decorations and also bringing belly dancers to the events,” Stephens recalled.

Arabian-style tent available for celebrations
Years later, the entrepreneur decided to formalize the business after noticing strong demand in the country. Other themes are offered, but Arabian-style celebrations remain the focus.
“We offer Halloween, Las Vegas, Hawaii, country, casino, Indian, Mexican, Italian, and Spanish décor-over 50 themes,” said Stephens, who confirmed, however, that most of the events produced by the company are Arabian-themed.
Although the company's main audience is in São Paulo, its business has already reached states such as Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Salvador, and Fortaleza. The entrepreneur manages the company with her husband. For large-scale events, Águila Decorações can employ around 15 people.
