(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 14 (KUNA) -- The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and the Head of His Highness the Crown Prince Diwan, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, received at Bayan Palace Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Kuwait, Mamadou Sow.
During the meeting, they touched on some of the historic humanitarian work carried out by the ICRC.
He also affirmed Kuwait's continued support for the Red Cross in its humanitarian duties around the world.
He highlighted the efforts being made to support and facilitate efforts to determine the fate of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing persons, and to continue the search for and recovery of the well-being of the prisoners and their families.
He commended their role in supporting and continuing humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Thamer also received the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the country, Mohammad Al-Mukhtar Mohammed Abdulsalam Farara Lasher.
During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were touched on. (end)
