ACD Chief Praises Russia as Pillar of Constructive Dialogue

(MENAFN) Russia has consistently served as a champion of “constructive dialogue” on the global stage, according to Nasser Al-Motairi, Secretary-General of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), in a recent conversation with a news agency.

During the exclusive interview held on Sunday, Al-Motairi highlighted Moscow’s long-standing efforts in advocating for “inclusive cooperation” and its significant contribution to advancing diplomatic engagement.

He emphasized that Russia remains a key advocate of “multilateralism.”

Addressing the complex dynamics across Asia, Al-Motairi acknowledged the presence of “political tensions” and deep disparities in areas like the economy and education.

Despite these challenges, he stressed the ACD’s commitment to using diplomacy as a strategic means of “building bridges between nations” and enhancing “mutual understanding” along with the “respect of cultural diversity.”

Al-Motairi outlined the ACD’s overarching ambition of boosting the global presence and influence of Asian countries. As part of this mission, the organization is seeking to deepen its collaboration with other prominent regional alliances, notably BRICS.

Speaking on the rationale behind such alliances, the ACD leader pointed to mounting global challenges that “individual countries cannot overcome… alone.”

While visiting Moscow in an official capacity, Al-Motairi also took part in the Second International Symposium.

He described his participation as part of broader efforts to promote the ACD’s objectives.

The symposium, which occurred earlier this month in the Russian capital, brought together over 7,000 specialists from SCO, BRICS, the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States, all working to develop optimistic outlooks for the future.
