JUST President, Syrian Minister Discuss Academic Cooperation

Ramtha, Oct. 14 (Petra) – Khaled Salem, President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), met with Syrian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Marwan Halabi, on Tuesday to discuss prospects for enhancing academic and research cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, attended by Dhafer Sarayrah, President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education, senior officials, and Syrian students, focused on ways to strengthen scientific partnerships and joint programs.
Salem reviewed the university's achievements and plans to advance education, promote scientific research, and support the Economic Modernization Vision through innovation and academic excellence. He affirmed JUST's readiness to build strategic partnerships with Syrian universities to serve development goals in both countries.
Halabi commended the university's progress and highlighted Syria's efforts to develop its higher education system, promote research, and advance digital transformation.
Sarayrah underlined the importance of academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise to raise higher education standards and enhance accreditation quality.
