Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Jordan Valley Authority announced that comprehensive tests have confirmed the safety and cleanliness of water in Mujib Dam, with all results showing no traces of pollution.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Ministry said that water samples were collected over several consecutive days by laboratories from the Jordan Valley Authority, the Royal Scientific Society, and the Ministry of Environment. All results indicated that the water quality in the dam's reservoir remains within normal and safe parameters.
The Ministry added that biological monitoring indicators, conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, showed no signs of contamination. Field inspections also confirmed healthy aquatic life, with fish observed moving naturally in the reservoir, further evidence of the absence of pollutants.
Additionally, teams inspected all streams feeding the dam, finding no environmental irregularities or signs of contamination in the surrounding area.
