
Kurram: Afghan Shelling On Border Areas Leaves Two Soldiers, One Civilian Martyred
Heavy shelling and firing from across the Afghan border targeted multiple areas of Kurram district, leaving two security personnel martyred and three others injured, while a civilian lost his life in the Teri Mangal area after a mortar shell hit near his house.
According to police sources, heavy weapons were fired from the Afghan side on several fronts along the Kurram border, particularly in Upper Kurram and Teri Mangal. The attacks targeted not only security posts but also civilian localities along the Pak-Afghan border.
In the Upper Kurram sector, two soldiers were martyred on the spot, and three sustained injuries during the assault.

Meanwhile, in Teri Mangal, a shell fired from Afghanistan struck near a residence, killing one civilian and injuring two others.
Police said the Afghan Taliban have continued shelling along the border areas, but the Pakistan Army responded effectively, targeting the attackers' positions with heavy artillery.
Tension remains high in the region, and security forces have increased patrols along the border strip to prevent further hostilities.
