UN Official Visits Jordanian Helicopter Unit In Congo

Amman, Oct. 11 (Petra) - Chief of Staff of United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), Brig. Gen. Mushak, accompanied by a number of staff officers, visited the Jordanian Helicopter Unit/Congo 1 at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) at Mvivi Airport in Beni, within the mission's area of ??operations.
The guest was briefed by the Unit's Assistant Commander on the nature of its air duties and field operations, in support of peacekeeping efforts and enhancing security and stability in the area of ??operations.
The UN official toured the unit's administrative and technical facilities, and was briefed on its readiness and the level of competence of its members.
During the tour, he expressed his appreciation for the Jordanian unit's high discipline and professionalism, praising the "distinguished" professionalism of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) among international troops operating within the United Nations mission.
