Kerala Wins 69th NSG Football Trophy, J&K Finishes Third

Srinagar- The 69th National School Games 2025 for Football, organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), culminated on Friday at TRC Ground. The tournament, which commenced on October 6, showcased a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship from U-19 age group boys from across the nation.

Kerala emerged as the champion, clinching the gold medal with a commanding 2-0 victory over a spirited Meghalaya in the final match. The day was packed with high-stakes football, beginning with two intense semi-finals.

Kerala secured their place in the final by defeating Manipur 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw, with goals from M. Danish and Adwaith Leneesh. Manipur's goals were scored by L. Leishba and Kh. David Singh.

In the other semi-final, Meghalaya overcame the host team J&K with a decisive 3-1 victory.

In the tournament's hardliner match, the host team J&K delivered a thrilling performance, defeating Manipur with a 4-3 scoreline.
