Jordanian King Calls For Intensive Response To Gaza Humanitarian Needs

AMMAN, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah II stressed the need for increased international support for humanitarian efforts in Gaza after a recent ceasefire.
In a call with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, on Friday, he emphasised the need to adhere to the agreement facilitated by the U.S., Qatar, Egypt and Turkiye, highlighting the importance of building lasting peace.
The monarch warned against unilateral actions against Palestinians and attacks on holy sites in Jerusalem.
Additionally, the king commended UNESCO's decision to uphold the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem. (end)
