The award recognizes a player each week who was a significant stand-out during the nine-week season competition.

Currently, Georgia is the leader in girls’ flag football, becoming the fourth state to sanction it as an official high school sport in 2020, with over 7,000 girls participating in the previous 2024 season. The sport is rapidly expanding, with more than half of Georgia’s high schools offering a team and several schools providing scholarships, giving girls across the state an opportunity to join a sports league.
