Qatari PM Affirms Doha Spares No Effort Toward Palestinians, Region
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
DOHA, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed Friday that Qatar would spare no effort in fulfilling its humanitarian, historical, and diplomatic duty toward the Palestinian people and the region.
In a post on his account on platform (X), Sheikh Mohammad said, "With the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, we affirm that Qatar will spare no effort in reflecting its humanitarian, historical, and diplomatic duty toward our Palestinian brothers and the region. The success of this phase is a collective responsibility to ensure the agreement's implementation and to achieve peace and stability."
However, U.S. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday the signing of the first phase of his plan for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange between the Palestinian movement Hamas and the Israeli occupation.
President Trump also said he would travel to Egypt to attend the signing ceremony of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, where the remaining detainees held by Hamas expected to be released early next week.(end)
