Qatar Vows To Spare No Effort In Duty Toward Palestinians As Gaza Ceasefire Begins

Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani affirmed that Qatar will spare no effort in fulfilling its humanitarian, historical, and diplomatic duty toward the Palestinian people and the region.

In a post on X, His Excellency made the statement as the first phase of the ceasefire agreement came into effect, reiterating Qatar's steadfast commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region.

“The success of this phase is a collective responsibility to ensure the implementation of the agreement and the achievement of peace and stability,” he said.

The Prime Minister participated in the ministerial meeting on Thursday, October 9, held in Paris on the US plan for Gaza and the next steps towards a ceasefire.

Qatar has been a key mediator, working closely with Egypt, Turkiye and the United States to facilitate negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which led to the signing of the first phase of the peace plan.
