Ukrainian Forces Strike 70 Russian Military-Industrial Facilities In September - Cinc Syrskyi

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported this on Facebook , according to Ukrinform.

He noted that the operational situation at the front remains difficult, with Ukrainian forces focusing on holding the line, stabilizing critical sectors, particularly in the Lyman, Pokrovsk, Dobropillia, and Novopavlivka dsectors, while inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

During September, Russian forces reportedly suffered 28,500 personnel losses.

The commander held a comprehensive working meeting summarizing the activities of the Armed Forces in September.

According to Syrskyi, Ukrainian defense remains active, with counteroffensive operations ongoing in the Dobropillia direction.

“Thanks to successful actions by units of the Air Assault Forces, assault regiments, and other Defense Forces units, we have been able to halt and push back the enemy, who had planned to seize the entire Donetsk region at the beginning of autumn,” Syrskyi stated.

He also noted that in September, the number of means of aerial attack used by the enemy increased by1.3 times.

“Although our air defense demonstrates about 74% effectiveness, additional efforts are required to cover rear energy infrastructure, critical infrastructure, and logistics,” the commander emphasized.

“The enemy is paying a high price for continuing the aggressive war against Ukraine. We are seeing successes in the DeepStrike program. Last month, strikes on Russian territory reached 70, destroying fuel, lubricant and explosives production facilities and other components of the Russian military-industrial complex. Oil processing in Russia has reduced by 21%,” Syrskyi reported.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also accelerating the creation of a new branch - Unmanned Systems Forces within the Air Force - improving the assault forces system, and are forming a Cyber Forces command.

Meanwhile, optimization of military command structures is ongoing. This aims to simplify, streamline, and increase efficiency. Operational-strategic and operational-tactical groupings have been disbanded, with their functions transferred to new formations based on operational commands.

The Joint Forces Command will also oversee its own critical front section with subordinate army corps. During the meeting, Syrskyi received detailed reports on counter-drone protection, combat readiness restoration, equipment maintenance and repair, mobilization, and outlined tasks for October.

“We must stand firm and preserve Ukraine, its freedom and independence. For this purpose, the Armed Forces work 24/7,” the Commander-in-Chief stressed.

As Ukrinform previously reported, overnight on October 9, Ukrainian forces struck the Korobkovsky gas processing plant and the Yefimovka linear production and dispatch station in Volgograd region, Russia.
