'Obama Got It For Nothing': Trump Presses Nobel Committee For His Due

Srinagar~ In a fiery exchange with reporters ahead of the Nobel Peace Prize announcement, US President Donald Trump reignited his long-standing feud with former president Barack Obama and took a swipe at the Nobel Committee - claiming he deserved the prize for“ending eight wars” while Obama“got it for doing nothing.”
The Norwegian Nobel Committee will announce on Friday who has won the Nobel Peace Prize, a highly coveted but notoriously unpredictable award.
Speaking at the White House and later during a bilateral meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Trump dismissed the legitimacy of Obama's 2009 Nobel Peace Prize win, calling it“a joke.”
The US president then turned the focus to his own record, touting what he called“unprecedented peace deals” and claiming credit for resolving multiple global conflicts - including the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
India, however, has publicly denied any third-party mediation, insisting the ceasefire was negotiated directly between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan.
