Meteorology Expects Hot Weather, Warns Of Poor Visibility In Inshore Areas


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Thursday will be misty to foggy at places at first, becoming relatively hot during the day with slight dust at places, and mild by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected poor horizontal visibility at places at first.

Offshore, the weather will be hazy at times, the report added.

Wind inshore will be variable at less than 4 KT at first, becoming mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at 4 to 14 KT later, and gusting to 20 KT in places during daytime. Offshore, wind will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at 3 to 13 KT.

Sea state inshore will range between 1 and 2 feet, and between 1 and 3 feet offshore.

Visibility inshore will be 4–9 km / 2 km or less in some areas at first. Offshore, it will be 4–10 km.
