Kuwait Interior Min Commends Strategic Relations With US

WASHINGTON, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah has commended the strategic relations with the US, and called for exploring them further in intelligence and security.
Sheikh Fahad, accompanied by Kuwait's Ambassador in Washington Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, made his remarks during a meeting with Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, who praised the solid strategic partnership between the US and Kuwait, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement Thursday.
Sheikh Fahad said it was important the US and Kuwait boost intelligence and security coordination with the objective of achieving regional and international security and stability, it added.
The State of Kuwait, he added, was looking forward to benefit from the US expertise and advanced training programs in a way that would strengthen readiness of Kuwait security agencies and their employees, which would positively reflect on security of two countries in specific and the region in general.
Sheikh Fahad, said the statement, expressed appreciation for the National Intelligence agency for its keenness to develop cooperation with the State of Kuwait, and said this meeting would be an added value in the bilateral partnership. (end)
