Over 1,000 Children Remain In Mandatory Evacuation Zone Of Donetsk Region


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Head of the Children's Service of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Yuliia Ryzhakova, reported this during an online briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In four settlements across three territorial communities where mandatory evacuation of children is enforced - together with parents, guardians, or other legal representatives - 1,163 children remain, which represents 904 families,” Ryzhakova said.

She added that the largest number of children still reside in Druzhkivka town territorial community - 1,155 children from 900 families.

According to Ryzhakova, 186 children from 144 families were forcibly evacuated from the region over the past week, most of them from Druzhkivka community - 171 children from 132 families.

As reported, the mandatory evacuation of children and their families from Donetsk region began on April 7, 2023.
