Qatar Strongly Condemns Storming Of Al-Aqsa Mosque By Israeli National Security Minister, Settlers
Doha: The State of Qatar strongly condemned the storming of the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by the Israeli National Security Minister and settlers, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and a provocation to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned against the continuation of such violations against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian holy sites, and the resulting escalation of violence in the region.
It also stressed the need for the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities toward Jerusalem and its holy sites.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position on the just Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including their full right to practice religious rituals without restrictions and to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
