Fire Breaks Out At Novosibirsk Factory Linked To Russian Military-Industrial Complex

It is noted that a warehouse is on fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Local media, citing the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, report that 70 rescuers and 23 pieces of equipment are working at the scene, and a fire train has also been sent there.

Later, information appeared that the fire at the warehouse had been localized on 2,000 square meters, and according to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

The Solder Plant specializes in the production of metal products in the form of solders, alloys, and babbit metals. It also conducts commercial operations in the market for non-ferrous metals and alloys (tin, lead, zinc), rents non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, bronze, silver, indium, bismuth, antimony, cadmium, tin, lead, aluminum), and provides related warehousing services.

The plant's website lists“the defense industry” among its product consumers.

In April 2025, the Dossier investigative center published a complete list of Russian defense industry organizations included in the closed register of defense enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Novosibirsk Solder Plant is included in this list.

As reported by Ukrinform, on October 7, a major fire broke out in the Elmash microdistrict of Yekaterinburg on the territory of the Ural Turbine Plant.
