Salt, Oct.8 (Petra) - Al Balqa Applied University (BAU) President Ahmed Ajlouni announced on Wednesday the results of Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, for the summer session of 2025.
In a press conference, Ajlouni, who is also head of the higher committee of the exam, said the pass rate reached 62.3%, which is within the exam's overall pass rates, compared to previous sessions.
Ajlouni added that a total of 8,351 students sat the exam with 1 or more papers, of whom 5,208 passed, distributed across 54 university and intermediate colleges in 118 academic and applied specializations.
Meanwhile, he noted 11 students were absent in all papers, and 74 violations were detected.
Ajlouni indicated that the university's Assessment and General Examinations Unit completed all results procedures with "utmost accuracy and integrity," and reviewed electronic comments on exam questions as submitted by students in the exam halls or directly.
Ajlouni also stated specialized technical committees examined all students' feedback and appropriate action was taken.
