Erdogan: Bringing GSF Activists Detained By Israeli Occupation To Turkiye

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkiye is bringing the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) activists, detained by the Israeli occupation, to his country.
Speaking while inaugurating projects in Istanbul, Erdogan added the aim of diplomatic contacts for Palestine is to enable brothers in Gaza to attain peace, tranquility, and security as soon as possible.
He noted that his country is working intensively to halt genocide in Gaza, and it has mobilized all its resources in every field, from humanitarian aid to diplomatic contacts.
Turkiye also brought the Gazan children's suffering to global attention, through their pictures, at the UN, he elaborated, noting that he also discussed it "in detail" with Trump.
He went to say that Gaza issue topped his telephone talks with Trump, welcoming Hamas' response to Trump's peace plan.
He pointed out that Hamas has, once more, shown its readiness for peace, thus creating an opportunity for permanent peace in the region.
If all parties act with a sense of responsibility, the bloodshed will be stopped, and peace will be established in Gaza, he stressed.
Turkiye will continue to do whatever is required to "prevent the death of another innocent person and bring a smile to the faces of Gaza's children."
He underlined the necessity of an immediate halt of the Israeli occupation attacks, and sticking to peace hope. (end)
